Chris Beyerbach grew up surfing in Southern California with traditional parents who remained married for over 50 years until death did they part.

After studying engineering at Vanderbilt University, he was honored by the United States Navy to be trained as an electrician on a nuclear submarine. While serving his country faithfully and honorably, he spent time in the construction industry and eventually fell in love with the world of garage doors. Along with 17 of his friends, he helped franchise the garage door industry for the first time. Just before the turn of the century, he taught at the world’s first-ever garage door and opener repair school and picked up the nickname “Coach,” a name that reflected his efforts.

Since then, he has rigorously pursued excellence in the garage door and opener repair field and is now training the next generation to replace him while plying his trade in his local community and the surrounding area.

He volunteers once a month at a local church with a group of retired craftsmen called the Whittlers, who go out and make the community better by donating their wealth of skills and knowledge, especially for widows and victims in the community.
